Full-time 4 hours ago Full Job Description Reports to Development Marketing Director Word on Fire Catholic Ministries (WOF) is looking for an outgoing, caring, and detail-oriented individual to serve as the Donor Relations Specialist.
This position is committed to stewarding and growing Word on Fire's community of generous donors through cross-platform outreach.
The Donor Relations Specialist is the development department's data hygiene expert, responsible for keeping donor information up to date, generating reports, and sharing knowledge gained from donor interactions and data trends.
This vital role ensures the continued success of Word on Fire's growing fundraising activities and provides a backbone of support to the department and our donors.

Full-time Responsibilities Oversee Radical Stewardship, WOF's strategic stewardship initiative to personally call donors who meet certain criteria, assign calls to other development staff members as needed, and ensure consistency of program Field donor and prospective donor questions via email (Help Scout) and phone (RingCentral) Add and update donation and donor info into customer relationship management software (Bloomerang) on a timely basis Follow-up on donor relations and transactions, including sending thank you notes/receipts, monthly donor welcome kits, and other donor gifts Prepare materials including reports, general correspondence, and other necessary solicitation materials Gain and share insights from donor community to inform new stewardship and fundraising opportunities Assist with development and implementation of donor recognition societies and other opportunities to increase stewardship and build community of donors Track donor engagement in Bloomerang Other duties as assigned Requirements Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English or related field, OR equivalent experience 1 year of experience in a similar role working in non-profit fundraising Commitment to the mission of Word on Fire Knowledge of Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang, or other donor database softwares Knowledge of various gift types and methods Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal skills and willingness to talk on the phone Strong project management skills and ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities Ability to speak with people from a variety of backgrounds and patiently troubleshoot any customer service issues they are facing Desired Qualifications 2-4 years of experience in a similar role working in non-profit fundraising Experience with Microsoft Office and Google Drive Familiarity with the work of Bishop Robert Barron and Word on Fire Mission Word on Fire Catholic Ministries is a nonprofit global media apostolate that supports the work of Bishop Robert Barron and reaches millions of people to draw them into--or back to--the Catholic faith.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
