Job DetailsWe are seeking Remote Principal Full-Stack Engineers who combine hands-on contributions with responsibilities for the technical design and architecture of our systems.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that the software solutions we build deliver exceptional customer experiences.
We are seeking individuals excited about shaping the future of education through technology, with a preference for candidates with experience in the publishing industry or rich content production workflows, especially in education.
Responsibilities:
EST HoursCombination of architecture and hands-on developmentBuild new features and functionality for our existing products and platformsDevelop public-facing digital products and help us scaleCollaborate closely with product managers and product designers to contribute to the development of exceptional products.
Evaluate, decide, and implement technical architecture decisions and designs, effectively communicating these decisions to the team.
Coach and mentor software engineers to foster a collaborative and high-performing development environment.
Review application code to ensure the release of high-quality software that aligns with our standards.
Define and maintain organizational technology standards to ensure consistency and excellence.
Lead the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products, contributing to the evolution of fundamental tools for users, authorization systems, assessment software for teachers and parents, reporting tools for educators, authoring tools, curriculum tools, and student interactivity tools.
Work holistically on the entire problem, not just isolated pieces, to create comprehensive and seamless solutions.
You should have some, if not all, of the following
Experience:

years of software engineering experience, with a focus on designing technical solutions at the component or module level for at least 2 years(Must) Recent experience building a consumer-oriented/public-facing digital web product (Ideally with over 10k daily users) - users must be external customers(Must) NodeJS - 7
years of exp.
and expert level(Must) NodeJS for backend API development using NestJS, Express (currently used), Fastify or similar(Must) Full-Stack Development(Must) React, Vue, or AngularCI/CD PipelinesLoad Testing, Observability, Accessibility, SecurityAuthentication, authorization, OAuth, JWTStrong ability to communicate application architecture effectively, both in written and verbal formats, to diverse audiencesIntellectual curiosity, a passion for learning, and a strong problem-solving mindsetAWSInterested in hearing more? The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
