### Minimum Qualifications
## Education, Experience and Professional licensure
Masters of Science in nursing and current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois required; Minimum five years of clinical nursing experience required; Minimum three years relevant clinical teaching experience desired.
CPR, NRP. PALS, ACLS certification required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Excellent organizational, time management, and problem solving skills; Good judgment and critical thinking skills; Ability to interact with all levels of staff; Flexibility to meet staffing requirements; Ability to perform the essential functions of the job and to meet its functional and environmental requirements.

Key Responsibility Areas
1. _Orientation & Educational Programs_

Oversees and/or participates in the development, implementation and review of orientation program materials for experienced and inexperienced staff; Develops skills checklist, preceptor evaluation forms, and pertinent orientation reading material list for orientates. Collaborates with the Director and the Assistant Director of Women and Infant Services regarding the orientation of staff; submits educational programs for CEU accreditation as possible; provides an end of year report on educational activities and participates in guidance of personnel in relation to their educational needs.
1. _Staff Education & Development_

Provides direction to staff nurses, NST and MFM Clinic staff, PCTs and ancillary personnel on the performance of their respective functions; Support orientation, in-services, and ongoing personnel developmental activities; Facilitates clinical experience of nursing student; Maintains knowledge of current nursing care and management concepts; Provides opportunities for growth of individual staff members.
1. _Administrative Responsibilities_

Assists in the implementation, monitoring, annual review and revision of policies and procedures; Develop, implement, and review annual mandatory staff competencies; Conduct individual skills assessments of potential candidates and maintains files on new employees until completion of orientation and training; Performs employee evaluations in the Special Care Nursery and Mother/Baby unit with the input of the assistant Director and Director. Monitor annual mandatory competency requirement for the staff.
Be directly involved in quality issues on the inpatient unit and the specialty clinics mentioned above, implementing best practice and evidence based initiatives.
1. _Departmental Effectiveness_

Participates in organizational effectiveness activities; Serves on departmental, hospital and/or professional committees; Supports and/or participates in relevant research programs and quality performance improvement initiatives; Serves as a resource to other departments. Is directly responsible for the unit's productivity and fiscal goals. Works collaboratively with the Neonatologist, Pediatricians and Obstetricians.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
